LIOS Technology is proud to provide its multi-channel distributed temperature measurement system to AES Eletropaulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil for the dynamic determination of the power cable’s ampacity. In a joint project with the university of Sao Paulo and the large power distribution utility, AES Eletropaulo, the real time temperature data is further processed by a dynamic rating software package and feed Eletropaulo’s overall operation management system with dynamic cable ratings. The first integrated DTS installation in South America helps to locate any cable hotspot before failure, to dynamically optimize the power load and ensure reliable supplies of electricity.
